Dann Francis

My name is Dann Francis and I taught American History for 37 years, the last 31 at Cumberland Regional High School in Bridgeton, NJ.
I retired following the 2016-17 school year with a million wonderful memories of the thousands of students in Vermont and New Jersey who touched my life the last 37 years.
I began my teaching career in September of 1980 at Lamoille Union High School in Hyde Park, VT. Jimmy Carter was President, there was still a Berlin Wall, and the Cold War was going strong.
30+ years later the world is just as turbulent and confusing. Studying history helps to explain why much of the world is the way it is today, and how the next generation can (will) make it better.
I may be retired, but I will always be a teacher at heart!
